Students in Grade 7 or 8 in Regina Catholic or Regina Public Schools are invited to apply for the Regina-Fujioka Student Exchange Program. This is a home stay program in which Regina Students will act as host to Japanese students for ten days in the summer of 2026 and will visit Japan for ten days in the summer of 2027.
Students that are selected for this program will participate in mandatory weekly Japanese language classes, cultural and social events, organizing activities for the the hosting phase, and fundraising events during their two-year involvement. This is a parent-run program in which parent committees coordinate fundraising activities, programs, events, host phase activities and travel arrangements.
WE WILL HAVE AN IN PERSON INFORMATION EVENING FOR ALL INTERESTED STUDENTS AND PARENTS FROM REGINA CATHOLIC SCHOOL DIVISION AND REGINA PUBLIC SCHOOL DIVISION. THIS MEETING WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 19TH FROM 7:00PM TO 8:30PM AT THE REGINA PUBLIC SCHOOL BOARD OFFICE, RON MITCHELL INSERVICE CENTRE, 1600 - 4TH AVENUE. (Please park in the back parking lot and use the door at the back. Doors will lock at 7:10pm)

Students should select a teacher and/or principal to fill out the form to the right.
Teachers and/or principals should email the completed form to tara.dryburgh@rbe.sk.ca no later than December 19th, 2025.
If this form is not received by this date, the student's application will not be considered.

Please give your students a chance to be considered for this excellent program by making them aware of the application information and distributing it to the interested students. We ask you to encourage any students whom you feel would benefit from this experience and would also be good ambassadors for our country.
Please alert your students to the Information Evening for interested parents and students from both school divisions to be held on Wednesday, November 19th, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. in the Ron Mitchell In-service Centre (Regina Public School Board Office) 1600 – 4th Avenue. Please encourage only interested students and families to attend. Enter from the parking lot at the back of the building. Doors will lock at 7:10pm.
